Mission Statement

The mission of the Schizophrenia International Research Society (SIRS) is to bring together researchers and clinicians in schizophrenia spectrum conditions to: 

  1. Translate research findings into actionable outcomes to support individuals with schizophrenia spectrum conditions to thrive and facilitate innovative interventions. 
  2. Cultivate future generations of researchers in these conditions through education and mentorship. 
  3. Facilitate partnerships that integrate insights from various stakeholders, including research scientists, industry representatives, individuals with lived experience, and the individuals who care for them towards more personalized and holistic treatment solutions.  
  4. Increase the public understanding of the personal, familial, and societal impacts of schizophrenia spectrum conditions. 

Vision

The Schizophrenia International Research Society’s vision is to advance the understanding, prevention, and treatment of schizophrenia spectrum conditions.
