2023 Congress Registration

Join fellow scientists from around the world to exchange the latest advances in biological and psychosocial research in schizophrenia at the 2023 Congress of the Schizophrenia International Research Society (SIRS) to be held in an in-person meeting format at The Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. All presenters and attendees should plan to attend in person. A virtual attendance option is not planned for this Congress.

 Registration Information and Category Requirements

Membership Registrations: 2023 membership dues must be paid in order to qualify for the member rate.

Developing Country Registrations: The Developing Countries: Special registration rate is available to those scientists in countries, defined as low and lower middle income by the World Bank. Click here to view the groupings provided by the World Bank.

Accompanying Person: A spouse, relative, or significant other (age 18 & older) who accompanies an attendee. An accompanying person may only attend the social functions of the meeting, which include the lunches and receptions. You must pay the accompanying person fee to attend the social functions. The only scientific sessions open to the accompanying persons are the poster sessions.

Student Registrations: When registering as a student, regardless of membership status, you will be required to upload your student card or letter from your supervisor to demonstrate your student status.

Cancellation and Registration Modification Policy:  Registration fees will be refunded less a $50 processing fee for requests received in writing by 5 April 2023. Cancellations received after 5 April 2023 will not receive a refund. Any changes to registration type must also be requested in writing to info@schizophreniaresearchsociety.org by 4th April 2023.

Housing & Accommodations

If you are attending the SIRS 2023 Annual Congress in Toronto, SIRS has reserved a block of discounted rooms at The Westin Harbour Castle. Traditional rooms are available beginning at $299.00 per night plus applicable taxes and fees. Additional guests in the room are $20 per person per night. We strongly recommend you reserve your hotel rooms early; discounted room rates end Monday, 17 April 2023 or until the block is exhausted, whichever comes first. 

If you would prefer to reserve your stay by phone, please call Westin Reservations at 1-888-627-8559 and state that you affiliated with the 2023 SIRS Congress to receive the discounted rate.

Childcare at the Annual Congress

SIRS is pleased to offer childcare services at the upcoming Annual Congress. All childcare services will be provided by KiddieCorp. Childcare services will be available at The Westin Harbour Castle for the following dates:
  • Thursday, 11 May: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday, 12 May: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, 13 May: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, 14 May: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Monday, 15 May: 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Program Details
The program is for children ages 6 months through 12 years old. Snacks and water will be provided and meals need to be supplied by parents.
Please note: Medication (including sunscreen) will NOT be administered by KiddieCorp management or staff.

Registration 
The cost for the children's program is $10.00 USD per hour, per child. Children must be registered for a minimum of two consecutive hours per child for each day registered. The advance registration deadline is April 13, 2023.  Register early as availability is limited and handled on a first-come, first-served basis. KiddieCorp must receive both the registration form and payment in full to hold any advance reservations. You are also welcome to register on-site, however, there is no guarantee and it is not recommended. To reserve childcare services, use the registration link here.
